We’ve been having so much fun putting on various kinds of markets here at The Crow’s Nest, whether they’re our annual summer markets, Christmas markets, or last October’s first ever “Witchy Market,” that we felt it was time to do one exclusively for potters!
And so, on May 13 from 4-9 p.m., The Crow’s Nest will be taken over by wonderful locals who create beautiful art out of clay.
Much like our other markets, there will be booths set up where individual artisans are showing and selling their creations, but there will also be displays of some of our students' work, demonstrations on various pottery techniques put on by our instructors, and possibly an opportunity for you to get your hands dirty, too, while you discover what pottery is all about and how much fun it can be (if you don’t know already)!
If you’re a local potter and are interested in securing a booth at the market, contact us for an application while we still have spots available by email at crowsnestoutreach@gmail.com or get an application by coming into the store (2550 South Island Highway in Willow Point, just north of the veterinary clinic).
But even if you’re not a potter yourself, we hope you’ll join us that night to help us celebrate another artistic demographic of our region and show them we appreciate what they do….and maybe you’ll catch the pottery bug while you’re here!
At the very least, you’re bound to find your new favourite coffee mug.
