Service Description

Over the course of this 4-week class, students will learn the basics of using rotary tools as a carving tool while creating their very own wooden hawk using a rotary tool and acrylic paint. Students will learn step by step basic carving and painting techniques to create a silhouette style Sharp-Shinned Hawk before the finished project is mounted on a dowel and a driftwood base. All materials supplied and students will obviously keep their finished project. A fantastic introduction to woodworking for kids aged 11-18, as rotary tools are a great entry point into the world of making things out of wood in an affordable way with little safety risk.
