Service Description

Intro to glass flame work With Gibsons Glass Works Get totally immersed in the very unique experience that is Glass Blowing and Torch work! Students will watch demonstrations from accomplished glass artist Gibson James then will get to make their own projects of their choice with guidance from the instructor. Students will first start with feeling the glass and how gravity affects it once molten. Starting with a clear glass teardrop pendant to practice a variety of techniques. Students will also watch demonstrations on breaking down and working with borosilicate tubes for glass blowing. It may take several tries to get a successful piece but don't discourage at the thought because we guarantee you the bestest time and an absolutely wicked experience. Come play with fire with us! Proper use of your hands is highly recommended. Projects could include. Ring, pendant, Sculpture and or earrings. The glass blowing class will take place at Gibsons Glass Works in a detached studio located at 517 Dogwood Street. Access down the alley on 5th and Dogwood

There are no refunds for class registrations unless the class is canceled by the studio. We will however offer credits if there is an emergency.
