In this exciting mixed media course with Nadia, students will learn all about Junk Journalling. A popular new art form that incorporates a variety of mixed media techniques including collage, photos transfers, layering , mark making , texture building, geli plate printing and more! We’ll be working with acrylics , watercolours and a variety of dry media as well as washi tapes , handmade papers , fabrics , rub on transfers, dried flowers and vintage sheets. Students will make the book themselves using different papers and fabric for the inside pages with Nadia’s direction and will create 1-2 entries a week during class. Supplies required: 7x10 watercolour or mixed media journal and a Junk Journalling package created for students at The Crow’s Nest ($20) All other materials included ( paints , tools, mediums, stencils etc) Students Art still welcome to bring any materials they wish to class that they enjoy using for mixed media. If you have images , patterns, fabric , memorabilia that you would like to include in your junk journal please feel free to bring them to class. We will discuss this further on the first day.
